Mean kid: You talk weird.

Wise kid who stutters: That’s a weird thing to say.

Mean kid: You’re weird.

Wise kid who stutters: How do you know?

Mean kid: I just do.

Wise kid who stutters: And who told you when something is weird?

Mean kid is looking confused…

Mean kid: You can’t speak properly.

Wise kid who stutters: How do you know?

Mean kid: I just do.

Wise kid who stutters: So, you must be the world expert at knowing when someone isn’t speaking properly?

Mean kid: What do you mean?

Wise kid who stutters: If you just know, without explaining how, then you must be a real expert and a  clever person who knows when someone isn’t speaking properly.

Mean kid: I didn’t say that. You think you’re smart.

Wise kid who stutters: Really, how do you know? You mean you have ability to go into my brain and understand exactly what I’m thinking and after you’ve done this, you’re able to tell that I think I’m smart?

Mean kid walks away in frustration….

Friends, let’s work on making the younger kids who stutter in this world as wise as possible and as earliest as possible.

What do you say?
