Where there is gain, there is pain

My HTC smart phone arrived last week.

I was really excited to be getting this phone. I’ve been thinking about getting one for ages, but have been avoiding it. All the while, I’ve been falling way behind the latest trends, and had been becoming slightly old fashioned!. Anyway, I’m back on track now. 🙂

Once I got the phone, I charged it up and began to surf the web.

And then the annoyances started…

I couldn’t figure out how to sync my web e-mail with the phone. So I had to sort this out and search forums on how to do this. I was getting slightly frustrated.

Then the battery wasn’t as powerful as I thought it might be. Now I was getting more frustrated.

As soon as I became aware of what I was doing, I quickly became objective about what I was feeling, and just allowed the frustration to pass.

But this was also a perfect example of how the mind works when it’s free to run loose.

When I got hold of the phone, I was very excited and happy. Once I got it, I started to get frustrated because of minor annoyances.
