You must speak

I rarely use words like ‘must’ and ‘should’ these days. I’ve consciously removed them from my vocabulary as much as possible, due to the restrictions and pressure they can cause.

However, for the purposes of this post I’ve relaxed this.

You must speak.

I say this because without even trying to speak, the wheel of continuous fear and anxiety will continue.

Speak, speak, speak!

Stammer and speak, but do speak.

Doing so will start to break the cycle and begin to raise your confidence.

  1. Yup.. The fear will only aggravate if one doesn’t speak. I realized the same few months ago and hence not stopping myself to say what I want to say.. Be it anywhere @Office, @Shops/Hotel, @With best/worse friends….
Thks for reminding once again 🙂

    1. Rockford, isn’t it great when you do this? For me it used to be like being born again every time! Thanks for your comment.

  2. You r not a stutterer u cnt think that u have stuttring problm

    1. Pankaj, I’m curious about the reason why you say this? I must admit it’s interesting to have to prove one stutters for once! Thanks for your comment.

  3. Yeah the thing I have realized that people like me better when I speak freely rather than be quiet in the fear that I may stammer, and it allows me to make better sense when I say exactly what I want to say rather than go around in circles avoiding words and making substitutions

    1. And Dhruva, people appreciate it when we’re being ourselves. Thanks for your comment.
